 Dj Andy Dj Andy (The DEEJ) is now the new face of Friday nights here at The Venue. He can be found on either floor with his wide selection of music for your pleasure.He will be found either in the Sky Bar or The Ballroom and can usually be heard on the microphone making fun of drunk people and silly dancers.  Small Paul After finishing work at The Yard, there's nothing Small Paul likes to do better than to come round to The Venue with all his cds and volunteers his services to The Ballroom. Paul can usually be heard belting out classic dance anthems from 2am to finishing time. "That's true!  DJ Simon Like Dj Ewan, Simon joined The Venue in April 1999, but only started a resident night in 2002; he now has a resident night every Thursday and Sunday, in between that he can be found managing the club!! Simon can be recognised by his retro telephone headphone, which he made himself! "Retro-pop is certainly my favourite type of music and I always get a good reaction from the crowd when I put it on. I'm always on the look out for a classic that's been left in the past and forgotten about just so I can resurrect it again."  DJ Ewan Dj Ewan has been with The Venue since it opened in April 1999. Since then he has worked in both The Sky Bar and The Ballroom but can mainly be found in The Sky Bar on most Friday and Saturday nights. Ewan blends the latest pop with the funkiest retro and never fails to get the crowd going. Requests and dedications are no problem to Ewan and can always find time to fit them in around his set, that is if they are accompanied by a nice cold pint or written down on the back of a £5 note!!  Mad-Sad Dj Davie Gibbs Veteran DJ, Davie Gibbs hung up his headphones last year and left his vast dj career behind him to come help out in The Venue. Davie has DJ'd in most pubs and clubs in Dumfries, but only ones your mum and dad would remember. Davie has now taken over The Venue Vision title from Simon and can be found roaming about taking pictures for the big screen in The Sky Bar.  DJ Darren Darren is the youngest DJ here at the Venue. He has been found working in various pubs and clubs in Dumfries before becoming a resident DJ at The Venue for the best in R'n'B & chart. He's not here as much as he used to be but he is back as much as possible from England where he works in radio and TV broadcasting for the BBC.
